Terp Trips

To register for a Terp Trip, call our office at 301-314-8217. You are still able to add a Terp Trip after your student is registered for their Orientation!

Parents and family members of entering first year students are highly encouraged to take part in one of our Terp Trips during our summer two-day programs. Each Terp Trip is hosted by a campus faculty or staff member, and connects you with a small group of parents and family members. Please note that Terp Trips are popular and are filled on a first come, first served basis and that each trip has a limited capacity.

Each trip has a trip fee that covers programming and registration expenses associated with the trip. The trip fee will be charged directly to your student's account - please do not send payment to our office. Note, if you are a no-show on the day of your trip, you will be charged the full trip fee.

The trips are offered throughout the summer when first year students are finishing the second day of their program and registering for classes. Unless otherwise noted, each trip departs from the Cole Student Activities Building entrance promptly at 8:45 AM and concludes in time for you to reunite with your son or daughter when the student program ends at 2:30 PM. Please park in Lot 1 for your Terp Trip - be sure to download and print our Terp Trip Parking Permit in addition to your program Parking Permit, as you are parking in a different lot for your Terp Trip. Parking Permits can be found in our Arrival Guide.
